The SF6 Insulated Current Transformers, manufactured by Trench, has an explosion-proof design with compressible SF6 system and a rupture disc. It also features an ideal field grading which is accomplished by a fine condenser grading mechanism (from 245kV). In addition, its low-reactance bar enables high short-circuit current with perfect transient performance. This maintenance-free transformer is capable of remote supervision of insulation conditions through monitoring internal gas density. The insulation ageing-resistant SF6 is available in special core class ratings such as TPS, TPX, TPY and TPZ.
