TriMark's 050-1300 Plastic Slam Latch is designed to secure a variety of storage, compartment and access doors for off-road vehicles. The robust construction and compact size at a very cost effective price makes it a great choice for light duty compartment door and access panel applications. Features/Benefits Slam action latch is non-handed Small size will work in a variety of small compartments and applications Simple, cost-effective latch offers an alternative to standard rotary latches Operation -- dual plungers allow the rod to enter into the latch as normal slam action, then the rods must be retracted to allow for the release Reduced operating efforts under load Reduced operating noise and rattle when compared to zinc/steel products Engineered plastic withstands corrosion and has a lower coefficient of friction, reducing closing and operating efforts Striker diameter - .375" (9.5mm) Installation Easy to install with (2) M6 thread forming fasteners (available - not included) Material Engineered injection molded plastic Non-corrosive stainless steel springs Internal cold rolled stamped steel reinforcement plate (zinc plated, clear chromate) CAUTION: Latch does not meet FMVSS 206 (ECE R11) load requirements.
