The latest patented version of the dewatering system was conceived to be specially suitable for water removal from various fresh vegetable and fruit products in the foods industry (e.g. leafy items, cherry tomatoes, diced tomatoes, snap peas, broccoli florets, strawberries, berries, pieces of fruit, sliced mushrooms, etc.). The unit can also help to improve shelf-life, enhance end product quality and minimize mechanical stress. It has been engineered with simplicity, versatility and cleanability in mind, focusing on hygienic design and it is mainly composed of three flexible mesh belts overlapping conveyors. Each belt is provided with suction mouths and rotating adjustable beaters to shake the product and facilitate the water separation. The fans are placed in a soundproof cabinet to contain the noise in the working environment; conveyor belts are easily accessible for cleaning.
