The G3F device is a wireless and ergonomic portable measuring instrument, a laser profilometer, miniaturized for measuring geometric profiles. The measurement principle on which the device is based is that of laser line triangulation. The system incorporates as its technological heart a generator of a laser light plane and a high resolution camera suitably inclined with respect to said plane. The laser light plane generation system and the camera are integrally bound to an aluminum structure which gives the device mechanical and thermal stability.
