The U-5 Shredder is designed to be both compact and powerful, utilising a choice of either 3kW or 4kW (4 or 5.4hp) drive motors depending on power supply availability. The machine is also available in lightweight form for installation in a suitable van and powered by a hydraulic pto driven generator. This provides opportunities for cost-effective on-site destruction of small lots. A unique split Shredding chamber with Plastic Media Tape and Hard Disc Drive sections will optimise knife life and ensure that maximum performance is achieved for the longest period. The U-5 can Shred a variety of items, including CDs / DVDs / Video Cassettes / Media Tapes / Mobile Phones / Solid State Storage Devises and Hard Disc Discs to comply with BS EN15713 quality standards.
