Unidelta crosslinked polyethylene pipes are characterized by some excellent physical and mechanical properties.
• Their high resistance to both acids and bases allows them to convery several chemical substances.
• Polyethylene is a bad conductor of electricity, therefore it is not subject to destruction due to the stray currents which perforate metal pipes.
• They have high resistance to abrasion. This feature makes them suitable for conveying solids in water, or for relining operations.
• The high smoothness of the internal surface of the Unidelta PEX pipes hugely reduces the possibility of blockages caused by the growth of scales or fungi.
• The surface structure of the pipe, highly homogeneous and free of porosities and incisions, allows high flow rates with low losses.
• Their high coefficient of acoustic insulation reduces the noise level during operation.
• They are hygienically and toxicologically suitable for conveying drinking water.
• They have high flexibility and lightweight; they can be easily handled and cold-bended without any particular equipment.
• They can be used at a maximum temperature (Tmax) of the fluid of 95°C, as required in the reference standards.
