High fi ltering mask (Type I) and very high fi ltering (Type II & IIR), the SURGEOR® mask has been tested by the NELSON laboratories (USA) and fully meets wearing comfort requirements. Its anatomic form perfectly fi ts the shape of the nose and face. The smileshape welding enables to fi lter more than 99 % of the exhaled air, which makes Valmy masks a key protection against hospital-acquired infections. The masks with elastic bands are for everyday use, the masks with ties are for prolonged use, IIR type masks are splash resistant. Surgical masks Type II are designed for medical or nursing use in hospital, at home or in consulting rooms. It protects the environment of the wearer from infectious agents exhaled through his nose and mouth. Surgical masks type IIR should be used in situations where the wearer can receive spatters of potentially contaminated biological liquids (operating theatre, dental surgery...).
