Description

The Cross Drive is a conveyor head pulley with all vital components such as gears, bearings and seals permanently lubricated within the drum shell. The electric motor is mounted externally on the faceplate of the cross drive, which has been designed to accept any standard C flange mount electric motor or the industry exclusive PANCAKE design motor, that will reduce the overall motor lengths by up to 50%. Installation and removal of the electric motor is quick and easy requiring only four bolts. The Van der Graaf Pancake motor is an industry exclusive, with overall motor lengths reduced by up to 50%. The unique design of the pancake motor is based on the principle of space savings. By reducing the overall length of the motor by up to 50%, the pancake provides an increase in space savings parallel to no other motor. The space reduction equals savings in real estate, operator safety and maintenance requirements.
