Sisal-look carpets are woven on a 3-rapier weaving machine with the middle rapier always inserting a thick filling. More specifically : 3 rapiers insert 3 fillings at the same time. The top rapier inserts a filling for the backing of the top carpet, the bottom rapier one for the backing of the bottom carpet. The middle rapier is always inserting a thick filling that is alternatingly woven in the top and bottom carpet to give the relief to the carpets. The pile yarns can be polypropylene, acrylic, wool, polyamide. Logos and names can be written on both bottom and top cloth without any problem.
SISAL LOOK CARPETS HAVE A STRUCTURED PILE SURFACE, FORMED BY THE PILE YARNS FORMING LOOPS OVER ONE OR MORE THICK FILLINGS, WHICH GIVE THE RELIEF TO THE CARPET
