Axial channel and wall-mounted fans of the EAC series are manufactured in compliance with international standard ISO 9001 and adhere to the quality assurance requirements concerning products that are to be used in potentially explosive environments, as specified in the standard PN-EN 13980.
Equipment meets requirements of the ATEX 94/9/EC Directive and is designed for use in potentially explosive environments, other than coal mines and dog headings.
The EAC fan meets requirements set for the group II, category 2G/3G – zone 1 and/or 2. They may be installed within a duct or on a wall; available in versions with either short housing (type KO) or long housing (type DO). Temperature of the transported medium and the surrounding environment should be within the range of -20°C to +40°C.
Construction
Housing of the EAC fans is made of welded steel sheet and covered with polyester powder paint (housing - black, RAL 9005; rotor - yellow, RAL 1016), as standard. To minimise the risk of sparking, some segments have been made of aluminum sheet. The rotor, provided with aluminum blades, is dynamically balanced according to ISO1940; accuracy class G2.5.
Electric motor
The EAC fans are provided with induction three-phase motors (230/400V or 400V, 50Hz) and are adapted for operation within potentially explosive environments. On request, we can supply motors with a different temperature rating and various housing protection e.g., types nA, d, de.
