The Cold Spray Advanced Manufacturing Portable Site, aka C.A.M.P. Site, is VRC’s self-supporting portable cold spray system. The unit only requires a water line to be used with the wet dust collector, all other features are self-contained within the unit.  The C.A.M.P. Site includes a diesel generator that supplies 125 kVA output capacity to power the cold spray system, 4-stage compressor, wet dust collector, gas storage, Fanuc 6-axis arm robot, deployable powder feeder and heater and a 500lb capacity articulated jib crane with crane hoist. The C.A.M.P. Site has a cold spray booth that mates with lab space in the utility cell to create a comfortable work area. By using a built-in pass-through the hot gas hose can be routed outside so the powder feeder and heater can be deployed for hand spraying. The system is built into two 20-foot long-cube containers that can be shipped on a single trailer and placed at the work site.
