This device is designed to test the welding and sealing of cellophane or PVC wrappings that are used for food products. The pressure differential that is created between the air at atmospheric pressure which is contained inside and then the vacuum created inside the bell jar, will cause wrapping placed inside the bell jar to inflate. The thrust that air contained in the wrapping tends to exert on the walls will be directly proportional to vacuum level reached within the bell jar. It also determines the thrust against the welding.
The device comes with a support surface with seal and a dry rotating vane vacuum pump. It also has two 2-way manual valves for vacuum interception. The device can make direct readings of the vacuum level with the help of its vacuum gauge. It also comes with a mini vacuum switch which can help in adjusting vacuum level.
