The function of the shut-off valve is to automatically close suction when the cup is not in contact with the surface of the load to be handled or in case of a faulty grip or of considerable transpiration, thus preventing the reduction of the level of vacuum on the remaining cups of the system that are regularly gripping a load. The advantage of this is that the placement or the exclusion of the non-gripping cups is no longer binding. Vacuum cups with a minimum diameter of 10 mm and maximum diameter of 50 mm can be assembled on these cup holders, provided they have a 1/8" male threaded gas support.
