GORE® Performance Fiber for High Performance Ropes can drastically increase the service life of synthetic ropes used in high-tension bending applications.
Extended service life and decreased surface temperature are two key features of GORE Performance Fiber for High Performance Ropes.
In high-tension, high-stress bending and lifting, rope reliability and performance are critical. Gore’s patented technology adds GORE Performance Fiber for High Performance Ropes to conventional synthetic rope constructions, dramatically increasing service life. The addition of GORE Performance Fiber for High Performance Ropes can make the difference between reliable performance and premature failure.
Deepwater installation of subsea hardware
Elevators
Hoists
Cranes
Mining
Significantly longer service life
Reduced operating temperature
Reduced installation and re-rigging costs
Compatibility with conventional rope construction
Quiet operation
GORE Performance Fiber for High Performance Ropes is composed of proprietary expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (ePTFE) with specific engineered physical qualities. The fiber acts as a durable dry barrier to abrasion, reducing friction and elevated temperatures normally caused by friction. This technology also enhances the performance of custom coatings. The result: GORE® Performance Fiber can vastly increase a rope's service life and reliability.
