Absolute rotary encoders are also called absolute value encoders. In contrast to incremental rotary encoders, these absolute encoders have a unique digital code. This allows each angular position to be assigned a unique value. No initial calibration is therefore required. Even after a power failure or when switched off, the absolute position is maintained.
Single-turn encoders have a measuring range of 360 degrees (one revolution). Compared to incremental rotary encoders, we have a variety of interfaces such as parallel, SSI, Canopen, CAN SAEJ1939, RS485, Profibus, Profinet, Ethercat, Biss-C and analog output.
