For applications with low pressure, coaxial couplings are used to perform special functions. Coaxial couplings are mono couplings carrying media in a coaxial way (pipe in pipe). Furthermore, there are coaxial mono couplings carrying fluidic media and simultaneously high-frequency low voltage electricity (e. g. for spot welding guns, transfer or welding power as well as cooling water) or additionally transmitting signal currents.
Applications:
coaxial couplings for cooling of electric lines, e. g. in continuous casting plants (steel industry). The electric plug inside (7- or 12-way) is accessed by pressurized air or protecting gas and thus, protected against overheating. The electric cable is protected when guided into the pressurized air hose. Simultaneously, the penetration of dirt or humidity is prevented. Besides, the pressurized air can be used in the switch cabinets without the necessity to drive additional lines.
Characteristics:
for pressurized air or gases with simultaneous electric contact in coaxial design
