Conveyors are an important part of any internal transport system that handles goods. Such a system may also include packing tables, tilting tables, lift tables and turntables. The conveyor system is usually part of a packaging or handling line that starts with case erecting and ends with pallet wrapping.
Chain conveyors are suitable for transporting goods on a flat, strong and rigid support, free of protruding elements at the bottom. They travel at high speeds, with frequent accelerations and stops, at controlled speed.
The frame consists of two high quality extruded aluminium profiles (also available in steel or stainless steel), joined by stiffeners which in turn act as spacers. At each end there are idler sprockets with sliding tensioning shafts. They are supported by steel support feet. A guide made of anti-friction material is fixed to the upper part of the profiles, on which the chains slide and return along the inside of the profiles.
