The Pilot Wire is used to remotely control via a public or private LoRaWAN® network any electric heater equipped with a wire with 6 operating modes, as well as any load controlled by a relay.
The Class C LoRaWAN® Smart Pilot Wire from nke Watteco is a long range, high performance and high quality wireless actuator having two specific operating mode:
- Smart pilot wire actuator to monitor and control electric heaters
- Switched relay to monitor and control any devices connected to the relay (street lights, residential lights, pumps, fans, valves, motors, generators, …)
When operating as a Smart Pilot Wire, the actuator control up to 6 heating modes:
- Comfort: track, monitor and report the temperature set point of the heater.
- Eco: temperature set and track 4°C below thetemperature set point of the heater
- Anti-freeze: maintain room temperature at +5°C
- Stop: no heating
- Comfort – 1: Temperature set and track 1°C below the temperature set point of the heater
- Comfort – 2: Temperature set and track 2°C below the temperature set point of the heater
