Acid pickling liquid for AISI 300 series stainless steel excluding those with high sulphur content (AISI 303). Pickling is the basic treatment to eliminate traces of oxide due to thermal changes. Pickling is not a simple aesthetic action that serves to remove the 'black of the weld'. In fact, good pickling has the task of removing the depleted chromium layer due to thermal alteration, a critical area for corrosive attack as it is unprotected. Only as a side effect bleach the weld. WE DEK 10 L is a liquid product appropriately formulated for the pickling of low-sulphur austenitic stainless steels. In particular it is indicated for the removal of solder and annealing oxides, rust. In order to achieve uniformity of treatment, the surface should be degreased and decontaminated prior to pickling. WE DEK 10 L is used for 300 series stainless steel excluding AISI 303. Through its action the entire surface will be pickled. Notes: Before pickling: degrease and decontaminate the surface in order to achieve uniformity in treatment After pickling: proceed with the passivation of the surface, in order to increase the corrosion resistance. To keep the pickling bath in perfect efficiency, we recommend that our Technical Directorate periodically perform the control analyses and make the recommended corrections.
