Nitrate free' concentrated liquid pickling acid for AISI 300 series stainless steel. It is the basic treatment to eliminate traces of oxide due to thermal changes. Pickling is not a simple aesthetic action that serves to remove the 'black of the weld'. In fact, good pickling has the task of removing the depleted chromium layer due to thermal alteration, a critical area for corrosive attack as it is unprotected. Only as a side effect bleach the weld. WE DEK 20 L is a liquid product appropriately formulated for the pickling of austenitic stainless steels. In particular it is indicated for the removal of welding and annealing oxides, persistent oxides. In order to achieve uniformity of treatment, the surface should be degreased and decontaminated prior to pickling. WE DEK 20 L is used for the treatment of particular 300 series stainless steel by a predominantly immersion use. Notes : Before pickling: degrease and decontaminate the surface in order to achieve uniformity in treatment. After pickling: proceed with the passivation of the surface, in order to increase the corrosion resistance . To keep the pickling bath in perfect efficiency, it is recommended to have it performed periodically at Technical Direction the control analyses and to make the recommended corrections.
