Magnetic visual level indicators visible over a long distance – for on the tank
Where it is not possible or permitted to install a bypass magnetic visual level indicator on the side of a tank, e.g. in shipbuilding in the case of tanks with combustible media, top of tank visual level indicators (ToT VLIs) can be used.
Here, a float system is used in which the floatation panel, i.e. the float, and the magnetic carrier with the lying bar magnet are separated and connected to a rod.
In this way, the level is recorded by the float and is displayed above the tank. Because the filling level is thus no longer intuitively at the same level as the display, as with the bypass magnetic visual level indicators, it is recommended to use measuring scales that make clear the link to the filling level, e.g. 0% to 100%.
The pressure ratings are based on the WEKA StandardLine with PN6, PN28 and PN50. Higher pressure ratings can be compiled from the HighPressureLine on a customer-specific basis.
WEKA also offers solutions for on the tank!
The float is controlled using a surge pipe in the tank. The surge pipe can also be replaced with guide bars, if desired. A flThe float is controlled using a surge pipe in the tank. The surge pipe can also be replaced with guide bars, if desired. A flange is recommended for the mechanical connection; however, tank screw connections are also customary. The different pressure ratings are to be selected with simple pressure/temperature diagrams (p/T diagrams). Otherwise, the full portfolio of accessories, such as the gauge bar range with measuring scales, is available.
