Wichita High Torque Clutch provides highest torque to size ratios of any Wichita Clutch, and provides smooth starts and stops. It is designed for minimum power loss due to low rotating inertia. They have pneumatically applied spring release with 1 - 4 disc designs for dry use only. It is utilized for end-of-shaft mounting on bearing supported pulley, sprocket or flywheel. It is used in cyclic applications, for high torque needs in compact designs or general drive. Precautions must be taken to ensure clutch is individually supported and consultancy needed for vertical mounting. The clutch needs to be suitable guarded when in use.
