The EnOcean technology stands out from other radio technologies thanks to its battery-free and therefore wireless and maintenance-free sensors. This reduces the installation effort to a minimum and lowers operating and maintenance costs. This technology is used in various Wieland device series. Sensor data is converted directly into switching operations, for example, or passed on to other bus systems. In this context, lighting or blind buttons are also sensors. SMART FUTURE The gesis® FLEX series features a KNX – EnOcean gateway, which translates the EEPs (EnOcean Equipment Profiles) into KNX DPTs (Data Point Types), and vice versa. These types of data ensure interoperability within the systems. The gesis® RM series has an extension module, which converts button EEPs into DPTs. There is even a relay output for outdoor use. These products are supplemented with EnOcean sensors like buttons and window contacts.
