A porous, extruded activated carbon tube forms the core of this filter element. Thus, in addition to the adsorption due to the activated carbon, a mechanical filter effect is also present. The tubular activated carbon blocks are manufactured in the filter ratings 0.5 μm, 5 μm and 10 μm. With the radial flow from the outside to the inside, a PP fleece and a PE outer net each ensures clean conditions when using the WFAK activated carbon cartridges. The solid PP end caps are equipped with flat seals made of NBR, whereby green end caps stand for 0.5 μm, white end caps for 5 μm and blue end caps for 10 μm. WFAK activated carbon cartridges are available in the standard diameter of 70mm and in the BigBlue version with the diameter of 115 mm in 9 ¾“ and 20“ length.
