Optical module for high-precision FOG is a kind of fiber coil module used in FOG with bias stability better than 0.01°/h. It is mainly composed of fiber coil, Y-waveguide & magnetic shielding metal shell. Some models also include couplers. Among them, Y-waveguide, coupler, and fiber coil are all installed & fixed on the magnetic shielding metal shell, and each tail fiber is welded, glued & fixed according to the established sequence. Optical modules can replace discrete optical devices such as fiber coil, Y-waveguide, and coupler, to realize the functions of sensitive Sagnac phase difference, light-splitting & light-combining and light wave phase modulation. Instead of welding & installing the tail fibers of Y-waveguide, coupler & fiber coil, users only need to fuse the input tail fiber of the optical module, which simplifies the FOG production process, reduce the difficulty of assembly, improve efficiency, and facilitate maintenance.
