Description

YOEC Hollow-Core Photonic Crystal Fiber is composed of two-dimensional photonic crystals arranged periodically, and the core is a hollow-structured air defect. Different from the traditional optical fiber with a total internal reflection light-guide mechanism, the light transmission in the air of hollow-core photonic crystal fiber is realized by the photonic bandgap effect. Most of the optical energy (over 95%) in the optical fiber is transmitted in the air core. As a result, the optical transmission is hardly affected by the absorption of optical fiber materials, making it with excellent radiation resistance, good thermal stability as well as application advantages in severe environments. Because of its low nonlinear effect and delay and high damage threshold, it has obvious advantages in high-power and pulsed laser flexible transmission and can be used as an efficient platform for the interaction between light and materials, which shows promise for the breakthrough of the bottleneck in the existing traditional optical fiber.
