Optical fibres are housed in loose tubes that are made of high-modulus plastic and filled with water blocking yarns. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the central strength member to form a cable core. The core is amored with a layer of fire resistance tape and glass fibre yarns. Then, a LSZH outer sheath is extruded. • All-dry design improving efficiency of construction and splicing • Light weight, easy for long distance installation • Accurate process control ensuring good mechanical and temperature performances • All-dielectric design, applicable to lightning-prone areas • Fire-resistant layer and LSZH sheath ensuring good fire resistance and flame-retardant performances • Applicable to duct, aerial and vertical installations • Standard length: 2,000m; other lengths are also available
