Optical fibres are housed in loose tubes that are made of high-modulus plastic and filled with water blocking yarns. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the central strength member to form a cable core. The core is covered by water blocking tape and armored with aramid yarns. Finally, a PE(or AT) outer sheath is extruded. • Accurate process control ensuring good mechanical and temperature performances • All-dry design improving efficiency of construction and splicing • Small size, light weight and soft, applicable for self-supporting aerial installation • Aramid yarns providing good tensile performance • Standard length: 2,000m; other lengths are also available
