The ASR-E Series Closed-Loop Motorized XY Scanning Stages are available from 50 mm up to 305 mm travel per axis. Stages have easily adjustable non-contact hall sensor limit switches, and are capable of up to 12 µm accuracy, 2 µm repeatability, and 85 mm/s speed.
Devices have a low profile of only 42 mm, and are equipped with crossed roller bearings on hardened stainless steel rails, providing stage movement and enabling smooth operation, while also improving durability. Precision 2 mm pitch lead screws provide up to 12 µm accuracy, 2 µm repeatability, and 85 mm/s maximum speed. All critical features of the ASR are machined in-house. Proprietary machining techniques allow for excellent flatness, orthogonality and straightness specifications.
The are also equipped with integrated rotary encoders (for closed-loop operation and slip/stall recovery features) and are designed for compatibility with X-MCB2 Series two-axis stepper motor controllers. These units present an excellent alternative to manual stages, normally found on upright and inverted microscopes as well as standalone applications. Their compact size makes them ideal for various types of scanning systems, with simple installation procedure on all common microscope platforms.
