Production scraps, generated by an ever increasing number of pasta shape changes that are required in any pasta factory, are a problem that can be solved with the shredding units of the SMI series, which, with their wide range of models, carry out the scraps grinding and direct them back into a pneumatic return:
• The scraps to be recycled are loaded on a feeding platform scale.
• Said scraps, when closing the balance opening, are directed to the crushing group which is realized with blades with sinusoidal movement.
• Through a pressing unit with alternating movement the complete crushing of fed scraps is granted.
• The scraps once grinded are gathered on a suitable conveyor to the pneumatic system.
• Thanks to the extremely fast and sinusoidal movement of the blades it is possible scraps are achieved that are crushed in an extremely thin way (dimensions of pieces do not exceed 2mm) and this facilitates the rekneading even in mixing tanks of reduced dimensions.
• The feeding of scraps happens avoiding lack of balance in the kneading tank.
• A centrifugal fan conveys the crushed scraps to a cyclone positioned on the kneading tank.
• It is possible to use either a dedicated pipeline or the existing one for other scraps.
• All the parts in contact with the product are made of inox steel.
To effect the loading of the scraps in a continuous way, the SMI/GP is also available with a feeding belt.
