The main goal of developing the SpectraAlyzer GRAIN VISION AI analyzer was to enhance the precision, speed and dependability of various food grain materials. Supporting research, plant breeding, cultivation, harvesting, packaging, trading and other supply chains of rice, wheat, quinoa, seeds and any other type of food bulk solids. These efforts aim to enhance food product quality, improve storage conditions and promote fairer trade practices in agricultural operations. The captured images and/or video streams undergo preprocessing before real-time segmentation for granular material analysis using AI algorithms. Segmented particles’ size and volume are determined and classified using pre-trained classifiers and AI models. The device achieves an analysis speed of over 1000 particles per 60 s on still images and a factor of five on video streams. Multispectral illumination enhances the visible appearance of special defects/properties of granular material. Post-analysis the sample batch is continuously discharged and the analytical data are processed, stored, and visualized.
