The passive harmonics filter (PHF) is designed to attenuate the harmonic components in the power supply network. The operating principle is to derive the harmonic components generated by a certain load to the filter, thus keeping the network clean for the consumer. All filters create an impedance in the line that generates a voltage differential between input and output, depending on the current consumed. The unit includes a connection delay system to avoid the transients that can be generated in the connection to the grid lines.
