Our syringes are manufactured by ILS in Stützerbach, right in the heart of the large Thuringia forest in Germany. Stützerbach has been associated with the production of glass for more than 300 years, since the first glass company was founded in 1647. Early in the 19th century the village became the centre of laboratory glassware; the first German thermometer (1830), the first electric bulb (1883), the first vacuum flask (1895) and the first Röntgen X-ray tube (1893) were made in Stützerbach.
ILS has built its business on the skills and expertise of the people in this area. More than 1,000 types and variations of Microsyringes from 1µl to 50 ml are manufactured for precision sampling and dosage in chromatography, spectroscopy, preparation of standard solutions, for manual application and for use in autosamplers, diluters, dispensers and other liquid handling instruments. Precision diluter valves have recently been added to the production range.
ILS shrinks its own precision bore tubing from DURAN®, a highly resistant borosilicate glass. All metal parts and PTFE-seals are made in-house.
State of the art equipment such as milling machines, lathes and glass shrinking equipment (all computer controlled), combined with years of glass working experience, guarantee optimum quality of products.
