Description

A Cylindrical Lens is a lens that focuses light on a line instead of a point, such as a Spherical Lens . One or more curved surfaces of the Cylinder Lens is part of the cylindrical surface, and the image through the cylindrical lens is focused into a straight line parallel to the lens surface and intersecting the tangent plane. The lens compresses the image in the direction perpendicular to this line and keeps it in the direction parallel to it (in the tangent plane). In a light sheet microscope, a cylindrical lens is placed in front of the illumination objective to produce a light sheet for imaging. The cylindrical lens focuses or expands light on only one axis. They can be used to focus light into thin lines in optical metrology, laser scanning, spectroscopy, laser diode, acousto-optic, and optical processor applications. They can also be used to expand the output of a laser diode into a symmetrical beam. Cylindrical lenses are widely used in communication applications such as wireless sensors and laser applications such as pump laser modules. Zoolied offers a variety of Optical Glass Lenses, such as Ball Lens, Optical Aspherical Lens, Endoscope Lens. Zoolied provides multiple anti-reflection coating options for the Ultraviolet (UV), visible, or Infrared (IR) and also provides uncoated Optical Glass Prism based on K9 optical glass,N-bk7 glass and UV fused silica.
