Bertin Technologies is a French industrialist in scientific instrumentation that designs and manufactures, in France and in Europe, measurement, observation and detection systems and instruments for critical applications. Every day, Bertin Technologies pursues technological advances in the fields of Defence, Space, Nuclear, Big Science, Life Sciences and Health.

The company has a complete control over the life cycle of its products, from R&D to manufacturing, on-site commissionning and maintenance. Manufactured mainly in France and Europe, our state-of-the-art solutions are sold worldwide (55% of our turnover is from exports).
Our activity is structured around 3 trades:

– Technological development, Bertin’s historical core business, which represents 40% of its activity;

– Industrial manufacturing of components, products and systems;

– Calibration and maintenance of solutions in operational conditions.

Based in Paris Region and Southern France, Bertin Technologies Group comprises 3 divisions – Bertin Instruments, Bertin Photonics and Bertin Health and Life Sciences – and has operational subsidiaries in Europe (Germany, Italy, Finland, Sweden, the United Kingdom) and the United States.

International footprint:

France |
Bertin Technologies has two clean rooms for integration in a clean environment: one in Pertuis and the other in Aix-en-Provence. Located in the South of France, these two sites ensure the production and integration of our optical and optronic components and systems.
Its site in Thiron-Gardais, with a surface area of 3100sqm, is dedicated to the manufacture of nuclear and health physics devices and is equipped with a COFRAC-accredited laboratory for the calibration of these devices.
In Montigny-le-Bretonneux, Bertin has installed a biology laboratory for all its life sciences and biodefense activities, which is adapted to BSL2 microbiology, immunological (ELISA) and genetic (PCR) analytical biology applications.
From our sites in Fontaine and Thiron-Gardais, our teams of technicians ensure the maintenance of the products in our facility or in customers' sites.

In Frankfurt, our German site (Bertin GmbH) is dedicated to our activities in the field of environmental radiological monitoring.

Italy |
In Genoa, Bertin Italia have a site for the integration and sale of equipment for nuclear monitoring and radiation protection in Italy.

Sweden & UK |
The headquarter of our subsidiary Bertin Exensor, one of the world leaders in Unattended Ground Sensor systems, is in Lund, with a sales and production site in the UK, at Basingstoke.

Finland |
Bertin Environics is based at Mikkeli and has subsidiaries in the USA (Florida) and Asia (Kuala Lumpur, Abu Dhabi, Beijing).

USA |
Our subsidiary Bertin Corp. markets our Health & Life Sciences products in the United States, from its Rockville (Maryland) site.
