Bimeccanica is a family owned business based in Castelfiorentino, near Florence, in Italy.

Being family owned our management is always on hand to offer advice and share their experiences.

Bimeccanica is an Italian company, who for over 40 years, operates and works in the screw drive transmission sector. The company is growing and developing thanks to continuous research studies that allow us to offer our customers a rich, and complete, range of high quality products for trapezoidal transmission systems.

Our company is unique in that we manufacture all our components “in house” and can supply everything from the basic trapezoidal screws, lead nuts and, if necessary, complete manoeuvring groups for those who would like the convenience of buying the complete drive system already assembled.

Our technical support team are always on hand to assist with the complicated decisions machine developers have to make during the projection phase and through to final assembly.

We produce threaded bars (trapezoidal screws) in many materials. Three types of steel, three types of stainless steel and aluminium alloy.

Additionally, the R80 steel bars can be nitrided for extra resistance to corrosion and wear. The aluminium bars can be anodized to improve resistance to wear.

We produce lead nuts in bronze, brass and nylon.

We also make various supports and machine bases to which your assemblies can be attached.

This ensures that our products are suitable for various industries such as food (many components are FDA certified), aircraft, marine, chemical and many others.

We can custom make shanks according to clients’ design.

Bimeccanica also has many patented systems for adjusting axial play and safety systems for vertical load movements.

We can supply individual components or fully assembled manoeuvring drive systems.

Bimeccanica also makes various machine levelling stabilisers (our SLV series), to support heavy machinery or anything down to moveable machine bench. These allow the machine constructor to simply order adjustable machine feet without having to design and tool up to produce his own.

We aim to have at least 90% of our standard products in stock, perhaps more. This to guarantee rapid response to orders.
