Following extensive market research and product development, Cygnus' latest range of surface ultrasonic thickness gauges incorporates three versatile measuring modes in just one unit - the trusted multiple-echo technique for accurate readings through coatings up to 20 mm thick as well as single-echo and echo-echo measuring modes for surfaces with heavy back wall pitting.

Built to be extremely rugged and tested to Mil STD 810G environmental standards, the latest range of gauges can withstand being dropped, submerged in water and are sealed from the ingress of dust.

Cygnus also manufacture an ultrasonic hatch cover leak detector for testing weather tightness of cargo hold hatch covers and door seals which has been type approved and is accepted by P&I clubs.
