Established in 1941, ELESA is the international reference for standard components destined for the mechanical, machinery and industrial equipment sectors.

ELESA HISTORY

1941 Foundation: post-war, the company begins the production of their original designs, a set of handles, knobs, handgrips and normalized handwheels for machines.

1960 Standardization: a brilliant idea, intended to enhance the prestige of the company, was to introduce a proper "normalization" of the products for the first time in the field. This initiative created fixed parameters to which all producers and users of elements for manual controls and regulation for machines will later refer. With the debut of the major European exhibitions of machine tools, ELESA creates the foundations for entry in the international market.

1980 Development: the age of globalization, with increasing exportation and the opening of more and more markets, led to the establishment of strategic partnerships with qualified worldwide distributors and the opening of branches in France, England, the United States , Sweden, Austria , Spain, Poland, China , Czech Republic , India and Turkey creating the ELESA Group. The ELESA slogan "ergonomics + design= quality " created the Ergostyle® line by ELESA, which was immediately awarded by the most prestigious international juries of industrial design.

1990 Specialization: the growing and increasingly sophisticated needs of target markets push to both extend the range of standard products and to study special solutions that meet the specific requirements of each customer. This led to new generation product lines that offer standard elements made from special materials and advanced technologies.

This has resulted in the promotion of a wide range of standard components to a worldwide customer base through a qualified distribution network.

An excellent combination of technology and design has given rise to a diverse production thanks to the constant commitment to follow developments in engineering plastics and metal technology. Design and production activities are concentrated at the headquarters in Monza. An area of over 70,000 square meters - 26,000 covered - tens of millions of pieces are produced every year by utilising the latest automated production technologies. In the Logistics Centre over 50,000 product codes are ready to be shipped worldwide.

ELESA continues to invest in R&D and in particular in the innovation of its production technologies with the aim of creating new products or to further improve performance and reliability of existing ones.

An internal testing laboratory with the most advanced equipment and measuring instruments, studies the evolution of new technopolymers in order to extend their use in more high performing applications in the field of industrial components.

Every single detail be it aesthetic or functional is essential and can significantly improve the perception of a product.

Since the 50's, ELESA has been actively involved in the cultural revision of machine tool aesthetics, that was taking shape around that time, by innovating the design of accessories and components for the mechanical industry, machinery and industrial equipment. An ongoing commitment to which ELESA has always been loyal over the decades, as proven by the more than 40 design awards from the most prestigious juries, received in the last 40 years.
