From the engineering workshop to the specialists for the efficient workpiece clamping technology - the Swiss company GRESSEL AG have been engaged in metal processing for over 90 years.

The typical medium-sized company GRESSEL AG, CH-8355 Aadorf, was founded in 1923 as an engineering workshop. In 1933, the first workbench vice was developed and constituted a real success story. With the launching in 1965 of the high pressure clamp, entry to industrial manufacturing was achieved and, from that time on, the company continually caused a stir in the field of "clamping engineering". Since mid-2014 the GRESSEL AG belongs to SCHUNK GmbH & Co. KG from Lauffen/Neckar. SCHUNK is a competence leader for gripping systems and clamping technology. More than 2,700 employees in 8 plants and 30 directly owned subsidiaries ensure an intensive market presence. With more than 11,000 standard components SCHUNK offers the world's largest assortment of gripping systems and clamping technology from one source.
