HISTORY

Metalcoop has more then half century of history, founded in 1960 in Certaldo, a small medioeval town in Tuscany, as an artisan enterprise, in 1994 becomes a public limited company.

In the following twenty years the company has been carrying on a cutting-edge and effective industrial policy thanks to the experience gained in decades of business activities and to the steady renewal capabilities that brought the evolution and enrichment of its vast range of products.

PRODUCTION

Our production lines are located in Certaldo (50 km from Florence, 20 km from Siena), in the heart of Tuscany, every product is rigorously Made in Italy, designed and realised in Tuscany. The deep link with its artisan roots, the territory where it operates, has allowed Metalcoop to grow and evolve to became a company that invests large resources on R&S and innovation.

The specific business identity and the high level of development have granted to Metalcoop the energy to overtake the national borders with its products, working with numerous european and extra-european companies, and now we are a strong and affirmed company.

ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

The process of developing high quality services and products doesn’t mean to just accurately select the raw materials, but also consider the implication that our production processes have for the environment where we live and operate.

For this reason, Metalcoop has always embraced the reduction of its environmental impact in its manufacturing process, respecting and safeguarding the surrounding environment and the health of its workers and employees.

Metalcoop cares about recycling, and supports the Certaldo Municipality’s campaign for the separate collection of rubbish, and pre-selects different containers for paper, plastics, metals, organic matter, cloth and oils/greases. We further reduced the use of toxic and polluting products in our production plant.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

THE TECHNICAL DESIGN DEPARTMENT
Continuously strives, in collaboration with industry specialists, to find innovative solutions to achieve greater safety. It is the real search engine of our company, and upon request, the Technical Design Department performs structure load calculations for earthquake-proof installations.

THE COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT
Metalcoop commercial policy develops turnkey solutions in full compliance with current regulations, performs pre-installation surveys, offers assistance and supervision for the installation itself, designs “ad hoc” solutions to specific needs, offers expert advice to upgrade existing systems.

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

The faster and faster rate of change create the need for companies to face new challenges and develop strategies that adapt to changed requirements, readily embrace and manage change, identify and exploit upcoming opportunities. Hence the importance of being able to readily answer to changed market demands, and see that they are met.
To this effect, Metalcoop has reengineered its information system to fully be the firm’s nervous system, and allow a complete circulation and share of the information required to manage every activity in an integrated manner. Special attention is paid to process automation both in operations and in manufacturing. The workflow starts from the product configurator, which ensures an answer to the customers’ requests in the shortest time possible. From the configured projects stem all subsequent requests to the appropriate departments, reducing the total time to market to a few days after the Customer’s order confirmation.
