Operval Srl

Who we are

"For more than 75 years, our story has been one of technology and mechanics - today, we put all our experience into guaranteeing working comfort for earthmoving operators."

In 1947 Luigi Prando opened a small workshop in Aosta to repair bicycles and motorbikes. We were in the post-war period and the desire to start again was certainly not lacking in Luigi's heart and head. In the 1960s he had already changed premises and expanded his services, also dedicating himself to the repair of cars and agricultural vehicles. The business then passed into the hands of Luigi's son Antonio and was ready to achieve new goals.

In 1975 the Prando workshops changed their name to Operval.

The third Prando generation joined the company in 2005 with Andrea and Lorenzo who, particularly interested in electronics, took on the challenge of making radio-controlled earth-moving machinery.

In 2016 the internationalisation process began with the presentation of the PL10 Dumper at Bauma, the world's largest trade fair in the construction sector. This machine will also be a success at SaMoter in 2017 and again at Bauma in 2019.

Since 2019, the company has been a member of Unacea, the Italian Construction Machinery Union.

To date, there are 3 patents that Operval has filed in recent years.

"We work on our projects with dedication and commitment, combining our expertise as mechanics with careful technological research and an eye to the future of the earthmoving sector.

Our experience has matured as a mechanical repair shop partner of the largest manufacturers of construction machinery on the international market.

This has led us to devise innovative solutions to offer working comfort, safety and ease of manoeuvre to operators in the earthmoving sector.

Each Operval model is a versatile yet reliable solution; a machine you can manoeuvre with agility and which is easy to maintain. A faithful and tireless ally, with which you can work especially in tunnels and mines, in mountainous terrain and in all the most difficult terrains.

We want to ensure efficiency, top operating quality and durability. That's why we offer a first-class service for all our machines, providing prompt availability of spare parts and scheduled maintenance."
