Founded in the early 1990s, Orotig was born developing a technology for the melting/casting and welding of titanium, a material widely used in the dental field but not so easy to work properly. Constant research and development work has enabled the company to extend this sophisticated technology to processing other metals, paving the way for applications in other fields such as industry and leading to the company's consolidation as a leader in goldsmithing sector. Orotig was the first company in the world to produce a compact laser welding machine. The XXS model, introduced in early 2005, revolutionized the market and led the company to be its benchmark. XXS was the first welder capable of meeting space requirements while containing costs and maintaining very high performance, quality and reliability standards.

The first laser marking (engraving) solution, on the other hand, dates back to 2008. Initially designed for marking mechanical pieces, today Orotig's laser markers serve the world's most prestigious jewelry manufacturers and meet the highest quality standards on daily working. They also find applications in the industrial sector and can be easily integrated into existing production lines thanks to their versatility.

Since 2011, the company has further established itself as a market leader in the goldsmithing sector thanks to the Open and RR line of markers and the EVO and REVO line of welders, the first ones able to fully meet the requirements of power, precision and reliability demanded by production processes of precious metals and industrial manufacturing.

Orotig is recognized as a top player foremost in the jewelry industry, but also in dental and industrial sectors, where it has penetrated the mold repair market.
