REA Steam Cleaning - Our History

REA was founded in 1986 in Trofarello, in the south of Turin, from an idea of Virginio Sassi. He, for the first time in Italy, decides to apply saturated/dry steam for cleaning/degreasing/sanitize in professional and industrial sectors. In the following years, the company grows and broadens its area of business, exporting its services in more than 20 countries. In 2012, after the sudden death of his founder, acquires new members and becomes REA STEAM CLEANING SRL. The new management strategy combines the most recent methodologies with the 27-year-experience of the employees, who moreover constantly trains newcomers.

REA STEAM CLEANING SRL is now one of the leaders in Europe in the steam professional cleaning, with a very relevant market share in the high-end sector (generators with a 9+ kW power for daily heavy-duty usage). Its strategic line can be summarize in one sentence: custom made standard.

From its foundation, our company produced over 4000 portable generators with a 9+ kW power, over 200 active-inline in-place cleaning systems.

The average life of our generators is over 10 years, and we can still fix 15 years old generators.

Our company is certified ISO9001 and among our customers there are the most famous brands of the food, mechanical, automotive as well as rail and aerospace sector.

REA answer any customer’s request and deals with every problem with outstanding competence, ranging from degreasing of old appliances to top Swiss clock-makers components cleaning and food plants sanitization.

REA Steam Cleaning - Why We Are Different

The great majority of the steam generator manufacturers operates across the whole range of power, from irons to small domestic appliances, and only a small portion of energies and investments are focused on high-power professional machines.

REA, since its foundation, is specialized exclusively in machineries and cleaning systems with a power ranging between 9 and 144 kw, with great performances and extreme durability.

The cleaning and sanitization of factories producing daily tons of meals has much different requirements than cleaning the floor and the tile of a restaurant, especially due to the extremely uncompromising hygiene laws.

Degreasing industrial machineries active 24/7 for years cannot be done with the same generators used in small machine shops. With all due respect for the competition, REA states and shows to be different every day!

• Our washing tools are completely self-made with extremely resistant materials as stainless steel, whereas the majority of our competitors use plastic components designed for hobby usage. The reason for this is that is mainly the washing tool that suffer the most during the use.

• Although we utilize the same components for all our generators, to guarantee the quality, we are able to customize infinitely our products. We specifically create custom-tailored tools and generators with specific characteristics, to satisfy the high demands of our customers.

• We are the only ones to offer two kinds of steam tubes: the heavy-duty one, which is the most durable currently available on the market, and the comfort one, particularly suitable for women and delicate machines and surfaces.

REA also chose to customize all of its products, from the small Compact 9 kW up to the most high-end inline washing systems, suiting the customer needs.

And this is our only, simple, realistic mission.
