Environmental awareness is an important focus for us. In addition to our commitment to energy from natural forces (water and wind), we also work sparingly with natural resources. Using the very latest in motion detectors in the warehouse area has enabled us to achieve a reduction in power consumption of over 26% in this area. Sponsoring social facilities and supporting youngsters are also very close to our hearts. This is why we are assisting the "Christliche Islandtafel Hückeswagen e.V." and the German Red Cross in Wermelskirchen, Germany. One of our guiding principles is our social responsibility to our staff, our business partners, the environment and our fellow man.

That is why we are always have an open ear for our staff and stand by their side with moral and practical support, even in difficult times.
We strive to always conduct ourselves appropriately in dealings with our business partners. This includes not committing them to asocial contracts.

We are also committed to environmental protection. For example we printed our catalogue in a climate-neutral manner and our power comes from 100% renewable energy sources. We also aim to minimise or avoid the consumption of resources. We encourage our staff and partners to do the same.

Furthermore we will send all packages within Europe in a climate neutral manner from July 2012 onwards. And all this without any additional cost to our customers.

We also strive to achieve social responsibility to our fellow man. This is why we have been supporting ‘Christliche islandtafel e.V.’ in Hückeswagen since 2008. Christliche Islandtafel e.V. provides children from socially deprived families with a hot midday meal. This is realised by volunteers and with donations. We also support the Red Cross in Wermelskirchen.

From 2012 onwards we will no longer give Christmas gifts and will instead make a donation to ‘Stiftung Kinderkrebsklinik’. Among other things this foundation supports the parents of children with cancer in all situations. For example it financed a house for parents so that parents can stay close to their children.
