Almost fifty years ago, the founder of SAFI Industrial Elevators and Plaftorms, Mr. Sartor, devised the way to combine vertically the effect of a fixed rack with the rotation of a gear, creating the first self-climbing scaffolding in the world. It was 1961.

In 1973 SAFI Industrial Elevators and Plaftorms took part in the Bologna Fair, and today it is a leading company in the field of self-climbing scaffolding and construction site lifts. Since then, mast climbing scaffolding has found applications in solving the most varied and complex problems: to climb to heights along the pillars of viaducts, dam walls, facades of skyscrapers, but still in shipyards, for the maintenance of architectural complexes, for the assembly of curtain walls… Mast climbing scaffolding has the character of a “Universal” machine, and ever new and unexpected applications can be grafted onto its fundamental principle, as experience teaches and SAFI Industrial Elevators and Plaftorms has been able to demonstrate.

Today SAFI Industrial Elevators and Plaftorms is found all over the world. In Italy, of course, and here SAFI covers the majority of national needs, and more and more abroad: in Europe, in Eastern countries, in North America, in Latin America, the Middle East, Asia… The problem of The technical assistance has been resolved with the organization of training courses "in the field", preparing the personnel responsible for use, and creating its own commercial and assistance network.
The original SAFI Industrial Elevators and Plaftorms workshop is located in Italy, with production plant in Vento Region was Built in Pederobba, 5 Km. from the headquarters, in the North East of Italy, where the Technical Division is located, which studies and researches solutions to always be at the forefront. Today the General Management, the commercial and administrative offices and the warehouse are located in Cornuda.
SAFI also carries out a rental business with assistance and assembly in Italy and abroad.

A story, that of Mr. Sartor, studded with important awards and certificates of merit, not only in Italy, but also abroad, not least the honor of Cavaliere ( Sir ) del Lavoro. Part of these acknowledgments go beyond his work successes but pertain to a more personal sphere due to his great commitment to sport and social affairs. Today Mr. Sartor is firmly at the helm of the company he founded and coordinates a team of area managers, engineers, technicians, fitters, employees and workers to whom he offers his experience and knowledge acquired directly in the field.
