SDProget was born in Villar Focchiardo (Turin) in the early 80s as a design company for industrial automation plants and special machines.

Over the years, in order to meet its design requirements, it established a department for the development of a CAD Software dedicated to the electrical design for internal use, automating processing and optimizing project design and documentation times.

In 1988, after years of internal use and consolidation of its highly innovative features, it was decided to commercialize the Software SPAC (CAD Automation Design Software from the Italian acronym of “Software di Progettazione per l'Automazione CAD”), and the company became a technical partner for other societies operating in the electrical and industrial automation fields.

In just a few years, SPAC became the reference Software for the electrical sector, with a continuous growth. Nowadays, SPAC is the most widely used electrical design solution for industrial automation in Italy 12.000 customers with over 35.000 installations.
