Wuhan Raycus Fiber Laser Technologies Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Wuhan Raycus”) is the first Chinese enterprise engaged in the research, development and scale production of high-power fiber lasers and core devices and the largest fiber laser R&D and production base with global influence in China.

Wuhan Raycus has an international first-class fiber laser and key device research and development team including three experts listed in the Thousand Talents Plan and lots of internationally leading patented technologies. It has created many firsts in the industry. The company has successively developed the first 10W pulse fiber laser, the first 25W pulse fiber laser, the first 100W continuous fiber laser, the first 1,000W continuous fiber laser, the first 4000W continuous fiber laser product and the first 6000W continuous fiber laser product in China. In March 2013, it developed China’s first 10kW industry-level fiber laser, which made China the second country to master the core technologies of 10,000W fiber laser in the world. Since its establishment in 2007, Wuhan Raycus has realized the industrialization of two series products, 10W-100W pulse fiber lasers and 200W-10000W continuous fiber lasers. It can produce 30,000 pulse fiber lasers and 10,000 continuous fiber lasers of medium and high power. The iber lasers produced by the company account for 30% of domestic market share and they are exported to Asia, Europe, America, the Middle East and other regions.

Wuhan Raycus has led the researches of the National Science and Technology Support Program, the Special National Key S&T Projects, the Special National Key Instrument Projects, the National High-tech R&D Program (863 Program) and other projects. So far, five achievements of the company have passed provincial and ministerial-level appraisal and two achievements have won the first prizes of Hubei Science and Technology Progress. In 2010, it successfully completed the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System certification and the CE certification, and several of its products were listed as new national key products and Hubei Provincial Famous Brand Products. In 2012, the company was selected as one of the “Key Hi-tech Enterprises of the National Torch Program”. In 2013, it was approved that it would work as the Hubei Province Engineering Research Center of Fiber Lasers, the Hubei Province High-power Laser Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center and the High-power Laser Equipment Engineering Technology Post-Doctoral Research Center. In 2014, it was selected as one of the “National Innovation Teams in Key Fields” by the Ministry of Science and Technology. In 2015, it was approved that the company would work as the National and Local Joint Fiber Laser Technology Engineering Research Center, and in the same year, a Chinese standard for fiber laser industry (2012-2028T-JB) developed under the leadership of the company was officially released. Wuhan Raycus’ industry influence and achievements have attracted much attention of the state and the industry. The General Secretary Xi Jinping and other party and state leaders respectively listened to the reports made by Raycus about its achievements in high-power fiber laser R&D and industrialization and they highly affirmed the achievements of Raycus.
